Music and the Arts

We focus on equipping people to give their best to God through their artistic expression, which means that Sunday worship has a wide variety of voices and is highly participatory for all ages. Our aim is to create sacred spaces for all to experience the goodness of God whether in person or online. We hope that if you join us in person, you’ll also experience an even richer connection, as you immerse yourself in the sacred space and connect with the community directly.

Vocal Music

We have many vocal options for you to consider. Some meet weekly, while others are seasonal or as requested. The sanctuary choir is open to high school students and adults and meets weekly during the school year. The praise band (Wind of the Spirit) includes vocalists. Seasonal women's and men's groups rehearse as well as opportunities for soloists throughout the year.

Praise Band - Wind of the Spirit

Wind of the Spirit is the Cross Winds house band, playing contemporary music once a month in worship. We welcome vocalists and instrumentalists to the team.

Instrumental Music

In addition to our praise band (Wind of the Spirit), we welcome musicians as soloists, seasonal ensembles, and accompanists.

Children and Youth Music

Children and Youth Choirs rehearse seasonally. Students can participate in one cycle or return multiple times. A seasonal bell choir is also available for the children. Youth have opportunities for worship leadership and drama.

Visual Arts

This team helps to design and prepare the physical worship space, ensuring a beautiful worship environment. Team members meet monthly for design and implementation. They also assist with preparing communion elements for worship.

Dramatic Arts

Throughout the year we feature dramatic elements in worship that range from readers theater, short skits, to full theatrical productions. Opportunities for all ages!

Technology and the Arts

This team provides leadership in the areas of sound, lighting, video, and projection. Volunteers often help run the sound board, cameras, or projectors as well as provide leadership with other A/V needs.
