    Faith in Action: Micah 6:8

    Vision and Purpose:

Cross Winds UMC has long been committed to living out Christ’s call to love our neighbors, seek justice, and embody compassion in our community. Our social justice ministry provides a dedicated, spiritually grounded space for our congregation to learn, act, and advocate together.

    We desire to:

    • Deepen its discipleship through justice-oriented spiritual formation
    • Respond faithfully to the needs and inequities affecting our neighbors
    • Build partnerships that reflect God’s inclusive love
    • Equip members of all ages to engage in justice work that is sustainable, relational, and rooted in Wesleyan values

Faith in Action: Micah 6:8 is not political partisanship; it is a practical expression of our baptismal vows to “resist evil, injustice, and oppression in whatever forms they present themselves.”

Mission Statement: Grounded in the teachings of Jesus and the Wesleyan commitment to personal and social holiness, Faith in Action: Micah 6:8 seeks to cultivate informed disciples, build inclusive community partnerships, and take faithful action toward equity, dignity, and flourishing for all God’s people.

Faith in Action: Micah 6:8 exists to equip the people of Cross Winds to pursue justice and compassion through education, partnership, and faithful action so that our community more fully reflects God’s love, and all people experience dignity, belonging, and justice.
