2024 Faithful Servant Award Recipients
The Care Team presented our third annual Faithful Servant Award in worship on February 18th. The purpose of these awards is to recognize volunteers who have given generously of their time and talent towards the ministry efforts of Cross Winds.
Cross Winds is blessed with many good and faithful servants who love God and love their church. We are grateful for the commitment of this church community. This year we asked all of you to make nominations for those whose service you recognized. We want to thank all of you who made nominations. Selecting two people was not easy for us since all nominees are making significant contributions to our church and deserving of this recognition.
This year we have recognized Pam Wrolstad and Jeanine Ronning with this award. Both are individuals who generously give their time behind the scenes to support the ministries of the church in many capacities. In celebration of their ministry, we have included sample nominations for each recipient, as provided by members of our congregation.
Pam Wrolstad
“Pam Wrolstad is a blessing to the CW congregation. She quietly works behind the scenes in various roles; few people probably know just how involved she is and how much time she devotes to our church family. She has served as the recording secretary for the Board for many years! Her work as recording secretary has always been organized, thorough, and high quality. Pam is also active in the music team as a choir member, worship leader, and children's bells teacher. Lori can better describe Pam's contributions in this area, but I know they are significant. And if being a reliable recording secretary and passionate music volunteer wasn't enough, Pam also serves on the Staff Parish Relations committee! I've been fortunate to serve beside Pam mostly in her role as Recording Secretary and really appreciate her kind heart and willing attitude. She's the type of person who wouldn't expect to receive the Faithful Servant Award, which makes her that much more deserving of it!”
Jeanine Ronning
“Classy and consistent with the uncommon blend of strategic thinking and tactical focus to execute. She capably has led our hospitality efforts and team for years. In addition, her thoughtful contributions to the Board are clear. She is one of those rare people who you know is leading, yet you never see her ask for or accept the spotlight. Clearly an example of a servant leadership attitude.
Her leadership of hospitality is an example of doing all it takes to give "long-time-always-there" folks a great experience and never miss the moment to provide welcoming and "glad-you-are-here" notions for visitors. If first impressions are lasting impressions...I am glad Jeanine is leading the way.
Finally, I recognize her thoughtful support of and advocation for inclusion at CW. Clearly, she walks-the-talk.
And... she makes Mike the best he can be!”
