Please join the Solerna Winds for an afternoon of brilliant color and sweeping romanticism as they take a journey through the heart of the wind repertoire.

The program opens with two masters of British melody. Experience the rare, hidden gem of Gustav Holst’s early Wind Quintet in A-flat major, packed with sweeping lyricism, paired alongside beloved, folk-inspired selections from Percy Grainger’s masterful Lincolnshire Posy.

Solerna is joined on the second half of the program by a guest pianist to deliver the afternoon’s crown jewel: Ludwig Thuille’s magnificent, lushly romantic Sextet in B-flat major. It is a performance pairing technical brilliance with soulful artistry—the perfect way to spend a musical afternoon.
