Meets September through April
Community Dinners offered from 5:30pm-6:30pm
High School Group meets 6:30-7:30pm
New groups start in the fall, winter, and spring, each lasting about 6-8 sessions. Each series begins and ends with a community night celebration and includes approximately 6-8 weeks for small group time. Groups are facilitated by trained adult volunteers and focus on creating a space for students to find support and encouragement for their lives of faith.
For students at Cross Winds, Confirmation is a time in a student’s life to discover and claim the Christian faith for themselves, deciding whether they want to say yes to the promises made at their baptisms by their families. It is an exploration of what it means to love God and love the world like Jesus through the encouragement of the Holy Spirit.
Confirmation students commit a 2-3 year journey alongside our pastor, small group leaders, adult mentors, and peer small groups through shared classes, service, and worship. At the end of Confirmation, they will be invited to make a public commitment to Christ and become a full member of our church community.
Students may begin their confirmation journey as early as 6th grade. Students are eligible to be confirmed in 8th grade or high school. New students who have completed work in other churches can speak with pastor about adapting the requirements to meet what they have already completed elsewhere. Confirmation Students complete their class requirements through attending Wednesday youth programs. Service hours and worship requirements are also a component of the confirmation experience. For additional information about the program, please refer to the brochure or contact a pastor.

At Cross Winds, we value that worship is the work of the people to glorify God. We provide spaces for people of all ages to serve as worship and music leaders. Seasonal music and worship leader activities meet on Sunday mornings at 9am. There is also the opportunity to take part in the Christmas Musical Program which meets on Wednesday evenings during the Winter season.
Support the 2024 Senior High Mission Team work as they prepare for their trip to Benton Harbor, MI from July 6th through July 12th. During a week in Benton Harbor, the group will partner with local organizations to serve the city across age and racial divides. In the evenings, they will tour the community and learn about the fine arts revitalization in Benton Harbor from a community friend.
Partnering with YouthWorks, our team will be immersed in experiences that point all sorts of people to Jesus. YouthWorks seek to restore relationships, love others and serve communities because Jesus set that example for us. Everything the team will do with them comes out of this desire to follow the greatest commandment that Jesus gave us—to love God and love others. In partnering with YouthWorks, we also celebrate that a commitment to a community always begins with humility. YouthWorks desires to walk side-by-side with our friends in service and helping support the work God is already doing through them. Together, we have a lot to learn from our community partners, so this trip will be an opportunity to share their history and God-moments with our team.
If you know a team member and would like to contribute financially or through prayer support towards their missionary experience, consider giving online today.
